This year's Symposium will play host to presentations from industry leaders at Newmont, AMC Consultants, IGO Ltd, Augment Technologies, Northern Star Resources Limited, Geovariances, Snowden Optiro, and experts at Datamine.

With a clear focus on improving outcomes in Mine and Resource Geology, this event will provide insights into some of the common industry challenges and the solutions used by experts. This in-person event provides an open platform for geologists to engage, network and share their experiences.

Day 1, is a fully catered day filled with industry talks and product updates, followed by networking drinks at 18-Knots, overlooking both the CBD and uninterrupted views of the Swan River.

Day 2, offers two optional, 3-hour, hands-on workshops covering: Isatis.Py and Studio Geo. Seats for the workshops are strictly limited, so be sure to secure your spot during registration!

DAY 2 WORKSHOP SESSIONS

FREE HANDS-ON TRAINING WORKSHOPS, LIMITED SEATS!

Seats are limited, and the registration is on first-come, first served basis.

In this workshop, attendees will become familiar with isatis.py. Through Jupyter Notebooks, we will import data, calculate and model variograms, estimate grades using kriging, and visualize the results. Additionally, we will explore how to seamlessly integrate other Python data science packages with isatis.py into an automated workflow.

The intro session will walk the participants through the process of the creation of a geological model from start to finish. Adding complexity along the way with faulting, recoding drilling, adding new drilling data and more. The beauty of the Datamine workflow is in the repeatability. If new drilling is added, you can 'run-all' to update the final model in a single click.
