ABOUT THIS TRAINING

This one-day course equips participants with the expertise to effectively use Supervisor for data importation, exploratory data analyses, boundary determination between estimation domains, variogram calculation and modelling, and validation of resource block models.

The course combines solid theoretical foundations with practical, industry-relevant workflows widely applied across mining operations and resource projects.

Course Outline:
  • Leverage Supervisor’s acceleration features to enhance analysis efficiency, minimising time spent on data and information management.
  • Perform straightforward statistical analysis of ore body characteristics and spatial continuity of grade data.
  • Visualise, interpret, and report on geological and mining datasets, including integration of 3D views.
  • Efficiently manage multiple elements, domains, and indicators.
  • Quickly obtain and compare results using advanced graphing tools, floating windows, and data filters.
  • Conduct rapid analysis and spatial continuity modeling.
  • Automatically validate resource models.

Course Objectives:
  • Loading and organising data/projects
  • Apply both basic and advanced statistical exploratory analysis techniques to gain insights from your drillhole data
  • Apply Top cuts to control the impact of extreme grades during the estimation stage
  • Understand the nature of contacts between estimation domains
  • Calculating variograms, interpreting directions of optimal continuity and selecting the most suitable variogram types
  • Exporting and plotting data
  • Performing and analysing results from block model validation tools
